Farewell to Amy Lynch, Program Director
Amy helped us to open our first physical Career Center, oversaw the revamping of our Career Wardrobe (formerly Suiting) Program, grew our Employment Retention Programs, and helped us to launch all the online programming in the last two years. She has helped so many women find jobs and more importantly to thrive. Thank you Amy!
I would like to share some of Amy’s words here:
"We talk a lot at Dress for Success about "impact". How many clients we have seen, how many workshops we have hosted, how many women are finding jobs. Yet for me, the impact of Dress for Success will always be so much greater than that, because this organization really has the power to impact everyone who gets involved.
I have spent many hours talking to donors who have lost their mothers or wives, who get peace of mind out of knowing their loved one's clothing is going to be donated to women in the community. I have also worked with clients who have lost everything - marriages, jobs, decade-long careers, their health - and are turning to Dress for Success because they need not only guidance, but community and support. I have worked with volunteers who get to see the impact they are having by uplifting our clients and imparting much needed confidence in them.
The common thread is that Dress for Success is there for all of those people, no matter what pathway they take to get involved."
Amy will be checking amy@sfdress.org for another day, so feel free to send her a bon voyage note there.
