When Corevia first came to Dress for Success San Francisco, she had no interview prospects. She had put her substitute teaching career on hold to provide care for her ill husband. Unfortunately, when he passed not only was she in mourning but she now had no income.
Corevia looked for work for six months before she came to Dress for Success San Francisco. She attended a Career Development Boot Camp, a one-day job search intensive where professional recruiters reviewed her resume, taught her about LinkedIn, and conducted mock interviews with her. Corevia says the workshop was a great boost to her confidence.
Soon after the in-person Boot Camp, the pandemic started and everything in her job search became more difficult. However, because she had her resume online, a recruiter found her and asked her to interview in a new field. Dress for Success was still there for her – providing one-on-one virtual interview coaching to get her ready. And, Corevia got the job!
