Professional Women’s Group Employment Retention Program January 2024 Meeting - Vision Board Building

The first few months in a new role and a new company can be alienating and downright uncomfortable.

Dress for Success San Francisco’s Professional Women’s Group Employment Retention Program (PWG) provides newly hired women with a network of support through monthly meetings where members discuss topics in leadership, work-life balance, health and wellness, written and unwritten rules of the workplace, and personal finance.

Each month’s meeting creates a space for participants to share their fears and excitement about their new professional environments with like-minded women.

January’s topic was Vision Board Building, led by our Operations and Program Director, Godavari Ghosh. Godavari shared why she started creating vision boards and reminded participants that it’s acceptable to have fun goals on your vision board too. For Godavari, it means having soda floats every once in a while!

PWG will continue to be a haven for employed women who do not want to feel alone, heard, and perhaps uncomfortable to ask certain HR questions.

If you’re an employed woman and would like to attend future PWG meetings, please email miracle@sjdress.org.

"I participated in this month's meeting. We worked on building a vision board and I was encouraged to share my completed vision board. I had fun creating this vision board while listening to the speaker's conversation. I do believe a vision board can create encouragement to oneself. Very therapeutic. Thank you for the invite and I am looking forward to the next meeting."
